A. FreeAptMove.com is a free apartment locating service in Houston and the surrounding area. We can do this as we receive a referral fee from the apartment complexes for sending them our customers.

 

Q. What must I do to get the free move / rebate.

A. To get your free move / rebate you must have learned about your new apartment through FreeAptMove.com locating service and list(ed) FreeAptMove.com as your locator when you visit(ed) the apartment community, or fill out a rental application, or sign a lease. Some exceptions apply.

 

Q. Can I move to any apartment complex to get the free move / rebate?

A. FreeAptMove.com will provide a free move only if the apartment community pay a referral fee to apartment locators at a minimum equal to at least 50% of the apartment rental. You will find that nearly every apartment community works with apartment locators

 

Q. Is there any other criteria that can void my free move / rebate.

A. The free offer is void if the apartment complex does not work with locators or the if the apartment complex does not pay a fee substantial enough to cover the cost of the move. A move within the same apartment complex as your old apartment or a move to a 'sister' property are not eligible for the free move / rebate. A minimum of a 6 month lease is normally required.

 

Q. Must I call my FreeAptMove.com agent before I visit an apartment complex?

A. Yes. You MUST contact us prior to visiting each apartment complex or apartment community. Call your FreeAptmove.com locator or your FreeAptMove.com moving agent at 281-218-6683 as some properties require locators to register their customers in advance of the customer visiting or calling the apartment community. Please write-in FreeAptMove.com and only FreeAptMove.com as your locator (not internet or a friend) on the guest card as well as the lease application when you visit.

 

Q. What do I do after I lease an apartment.

A. Once you have been approved and pay your deposit please call us to schedule your free local move at 281-218-6683.

 

Q. How do I qualify for the free move?

A. You must have learned about your apartment community from FreeAptMove.com or gained knowledge about the apartment community from FreeAptMove.com, which prompted you to visit and lease your apartment. You must have listed FreeAptMove.com as your apartment locator when you first visited the apartment community on the guest card as well as the lease application. You must read and understand our sections on "Disclaimers" and "What We Move For Free".

 

Q. Is FreeAptMove.com a moving company that can quote me pricing on a move if I don't need the apartment locating service?

A. Yes. Pay move rates begin at $75/hour for a three-hour minimum for local moves. Call a moving manager toll free at 281-218-6683 to inquire if openings are available.

 

Q. What if the apartment community is not referred to you by FreeAptMove.com ?

A. FreeAptMove.com will not be able to move you to properties not listed on the web site unless you used our in-house locating service. You must have learned about your new apartment from the web site or found it through our guidance.

 

Q. If I found the apartment community on my own, visited the community and then found it on FreeAptMove.com can I still move for free?

A. No, you must have learned about your new apartment through FreeAptMove.com unless you gained knowledge about the apartment community from FreeAptMove.com, which prompted you to visit and lease at the community.

 

Q. Can I move for free if I drove by an apartment community and did not visit, then, used FreeAptMove.com to learn more about the apartment community, visited and listed FreeAptMove.com as my locator?

A. Yes, as long as you gained knowledge about the apartment community from FreeAptMove.com, which prompted you to visit and lease at the community.

 

Q. If FreeAptMove.com has moved me in the past can I still use your services?

A. Yes, as long as you qualify, you can use FreeAptMove.com services indefinitely.

 

Q. Does FreeAptMove.com move to houses?

A. Yes, however, not for free. Pay move rates begin at $75/hour for a three-hour minimum. Call a moving manager toll free 281-218-6683 to inquire if openings are available.

 

Q. Can FreeAptMove.com move me within the same property?

A. No, this is considered an on-site transfer. You must have learned about your new apartment through FreeAptMove.com FreeAptMove.com only moves clients who qualify by using the locating service.

 

Q. Does the free move affect the specials that an apartment community offers?

A. No, FreeAptMove.com's free move offer does not affect apartment community specials like "1 Month Free", etc., nor do apartment community specials affect FreeAptMove.com's services. If an apartment community suggests not to use FreeAptMove.com in order to receive their specials, please our office right away toll-free 281-218-6683 and ask to speak to your FreeAptMove.com locator or one of our office managers.

 

Q. How do I schedule my move once my lease application has been approved at the apartment community?

A. Call your FreeAptMove.com moving representative to submit your move request.

 

Q. Can FreeAptMove.com move me from a storage unit (house, etc.) to my new apartment?

A. Yes, if you qualify for the free move, FreeAptMove.com can move you from a storage, house, apartment, etc.

 

Q. What is considered a 'one man' box?

A. A 'one man' box can be handled by one person and is less than 75 pounds. It can be picked up and carried up and down the stairs to and from the moving truck by one person.

 

Q. How much notice does FreeAptMove.com need on move requests?

A. FreeAptMove.com requests a 2-week notice on move requests. FreeAptMove.com will not guarantee any move requests with less than 72 hours notice.

 

Q. What if I am moving into an apartment with a roommate who is moving from a different address, do we both get a free move?

A. No, there is only one free pickup location. Additional charges that apply include the extra pickup location ($25) and mileage. If you and a roommate live together now, both use our service to find separate new apartments, and then, both receive a free local move.

 

Q. Is there an extra charge for 3rd floor to 3rd floor moves?

A. No, as long as you qualify, FreeAptMove.com will move you without charging by floor.

 

Q. How do I let the movers know about extra items or items not listed in 'What We Move For Free'?

A. Speak to A moving manager who will quote pricing and add these items to your inventory.

 

Q. Do the movers work every day?

A. FreeAptMove.com movers move Sunday through Saturday except for the following Holidays: Christmas, New Years, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, ETC.

 

Q. Does FreeAptMove.com provide boxes?

A. No, however FreeAptMove.com offers boxes for sale.

 

Q. If I have extra items what forms of payment do you accept and when do I pay?

A. FreeAptMove.com's moving accepts cash, money orders and credit cards. Payment is expected at the time the unloading of your belongings begins.

 

Q. How long does it take FreeAptMove.com to register me at properties requiring registration?

A. It takes 1 to 3 working days to register a client with an apartment community. Your FreeAptMove.com locator / agent will contact you.

 

Q. Does FreeAptMove.com have duplexes, condos or town homes listed?

A. Duplexes are not listed at this time. Town homes within apartment communities appear on the apartment community's information page.
